Article summary

A load is an apiary (group fo hives) that moves regularly as a single unit from site to site.
This terminology is commonly used in Australia where hives are consistently moved as a group on large lorries.

Note: Multiple loads can be placed on a single site. Each load is managed independently, but the site status will show the total hives form all loads present.

Note: Loads can not be moved onto a site that has hives present, but can be moved onto a site that has a load/s present.

The 'move load' job card

To move a load from one site to another we use the special job card 'Move load'.
This job card unlike a standard job card will ask for a destination site to move the load too.
The inputs for this job card are only the time taken to load and unload the truck and the travel time to the destination site.  As we moving the entire apiary (the load) the hive and super numbers will already be filled in.

On completion of this job card, the site location of the load will change to the destination site set when scheduling/creating the job card.
